Filter Change Reminder
Did you know that dirty filters are a leading preventable reason for expensive HVAC repairs. Not only do dirty filters make your system work harder than it should, but they also reduce the filtering and air quality within your home and increases your energy usage.
If you are anything like me, you tend to forget to change them promptly. I created a reminder program for myself, to shoot me a text and email periodically to change the filters in my home. I also put in the body, the size and quantities of the filters so that if I am at Home Depot or Lowes I can pick some up, if I don’t have them already. (I also put in the body of the message to check the salt in the water softener since I occasionally forget that as well.)
I wanted to offer that reminder service you if you’re interested. You can set the reminder period for 30, 60, 91 days or a custom period. You can also put text information in the reminder messages to be sent. A follow up reminder text can also be sent 7 days later, reminding you to change them if you haven’t already.

- How often to be sent 30, 60, 90 days?
- Info on quantities and filter sizes that you would like included in the reminder.
- Indicate if you want a follow up reminder a week or two later.
- When do you want it to start?
An example of a email I use. It includes info on the filters I need (air and water) as well as a reminder for refilling the water softener. Roll it all into a single quarterly reminder. It also gets sent to me as a text. Makes it easy when stopping by Home Depot to pick up the right items.
